Today after I finished teaching, I sat in on the CE2 (3rd grade) class at École de la Canéda. The directeur (similar to a principal) brought in his beehive to talk about apiology with the students.

This is the directeur's beehive. Note the number carved into the wooden hive, it begins with 24- the département number for Dordogne. Beehives are registered in France based off the département of origin, which allows for honey to be accurately labeled based off the region.
