Leaving École Jules Ferry with Occitan first-second grade split class. We walk down through the town to the library as part of the Salon du Livre Jeunesse (Children's Book Fair).
At the library the class met children's author Régis Delpeuch. The students had questions for him. He read them part of one of his books. Then the class presented Monsieur Delpeuch with a book they wrote and illustrated as a class based off one of his stories. The book a written in Occitan.
École de la Canéda
I joined the CE1 (second grade) class on their field trip to the Salon du Livre Jeunesse.
The book fair has a detective theme; Sarladais students produced artwork to follow the theme.
Storytelling with fabric creations.
The story reading was cut short as we had to catch the bus back to school.
On my walk home I passed a semi stopped in the middle lane along D704 (avenue du Lot); it had two shredded tires, which was probably contributed to the heat of the asphalt.
