After teaching, I looked through some books in the library at École de la Canéda. This is from a beginners encyclopedia, the page explains the different activities in the day. The illustrations differ a bit from what you would find in the US. Note that the French breakfast consists of bread, cereal, etc. There is a wall and gate surrounding the elementary school. The students have a proper plate and cup in the cafeteria.
