Journée sans cartable (A day without your schoolbag) was the message on school's website for today.
The teachers at École de la Canéda so kindly invited me to join them in their day of Christmas festivities.

Repas de Noël... the children were served a special two hour Christmas lunch. The teachers had an even more elaborate version of the lunch, which naturally included Champagne and wine, something that would never be opened in a US school.

Following lunch, each class performed a Christmas themed song or skit.

 Santa gave each kid a bag of candy.

Santa's car had difficulty starting.
