5 novembre 2010 - Dordogne dressed in autumn leaves

VENDREDI
Imogen took Joe and I for a ride to the Dordogne River in her new wheels. Then later that evening Imogen and I drove to Bergerac for an orchestra concert.

Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, less than ten miles from Sarlat-la-Canéda.
Views of the Dordogne Valley from Castelnaud.
 Amazing Périgord, indeed.

France has 36,569 communes. A commune is an all inclusive term describing the lowest administrative division in France, ie a city, town, village, etc.. One-fourth of communes have less than 2,000 inhabitants. Another one-fourth of communes have between 2,000 and 10,000 people.
La Roque-Gageac is located 6 miles south of Sarlat along the Dordogne River.
Autumn colors and sheep along the scenic drive back to Sarlat.
