17 novembre 2010 - Bergerac to Toulouse via Bordeaux

MERCREDI
Today's objective was to make it to Toulouse for a concert by Seattle band Telekinesis.

 Beautiful sunrise as I walked to the train station. Traffic on the bridge.

 At the Bergerac train station the Relay, a newsstand chain, is fermée pour la journée (closed for the day).

I took a quick walk around the train station, before catching my connection to Toulouse.

Back at the train station, for five euros you can order la formule américaine: a 30 centiliter hot drink and a homemade muffin.

The time table at the Bordeaux train station was broken.

 Smile- rode a TGV from Bordeaux to Toulouse.

The Garonne River.

Off in the distance the Pyrénées are covered in snow.

 One of the high school girls asked me par hasard if I had un mouchoir (Kleenex). I had a napkin from the restaurant Paul to offer.

Over the PA, it was announced that we were supposed to calmly exit the shopping center due to some security reason.

 I briefly took cover from the rain under war memorial that still had bouquets from Armistice Day.

Arrived at the bar venue, Saint des Seins, with anticipation to see Telekinesis.

Toulousain band The Greatest Liar opened the evening.

 Seattle band Telekinesis put on an incredible show.
